My compaq presario crapped out and that i had to deliver it decrease back 4 cases earlier the guaranty ran out and it nonetheless is falling aside. I then offered a Dell Vostro 1500 (Vostro is the agency-line version of the Inspiron) and loved it. that is nonetheless workin large at the moment. i might want to surely advise the Inspiron, yet to provide you heads up they're weak to clogging up with dirt and then overheating, so it really is healthier to save them off carpets (exceedingly once you've a cat).

My last laptop was a Dell. It lasted me for 4 years, BUT I used that service warranty to the very last minute. If you do get a Dell make sure you buy that extended warranty. I bought the 4 year warranty and it was worth every penny.
Every single part on that computer was replaced at least once. Also buy the express service number because you will be calling tech support A LOT and you don't want to be on the phone waiting forever...

i prefer DELL. But with the above configuration COMPAQ has cheaper price. If u don't have any brand preference then go for COMPAQ, it's value for money.
