"Unless you get down and really fight, yell, scream and have it out with your partner, there's no real intimacy in your relationship."

incidentally, by "have it out" I don't mean smack each other around. I mean get things off your chest in a very emotional way.

I think its a perfect statement. Now a days its real difficult to understand each other whatever be the relationships, be it a parents-children or husband-wife, take any case. And especially in the case of partners, lack of understanding is more. So even when both have much love for each other, situations comes up were one will not understand the feelings....so yell and scream and have it out to make him/her understand, and there comes the freedom and intimacy of the relationship

i agree somewhat. conflict is normal in a relationship. sometimes you have to yell and scream and argue to realize how much you really love the person you are with. it should never get physical though. my boyfriend and i argue at times and when it is all done and over with we are just fine, if not better. we apologize for mean things we said or did while arguing but we get over it. we still love each other and things always are resolved somehow. conflict is a healthy thing just dont let yourself or your partner get physically hurt. plus...make up sex is wonderful :)

I think it is talking about communicating your feelings/your thoughts/your wants/your needs/to your partner.Being honest with each other. Not just going along to keep peace.A relationship is not all about you,not all about your partner. It is all about the two of you, communicating ,to meet each other's needs.if you can not communicate open/honestly with your partner then .What do you really have?I do not think it is talking about beating your partner down phsically or vebally. It is talking about communicating with your partner in order to meet the needs of each other.to bring you closer together.

Lol. To each his own way of resolving issues. However a more civilized approach works too....
