My 3 month old just started sleeping okay during the day. He was the same way. If I wanted him to sleep I had to hold him. People told me to try the swing (he hated it) or use a sling so I could move around and have free hands (I hated it). I finally started laying him on his tummy in the day. It seems to help him stay asleep for some reason. The catch is, I pretty much have to stay nearby and watch him to make sure he keeps breathing. He does fine at night on his back, but day sleep is tummy, arms or no sleep. I know tummy sleeping will be safer when he turns over, until then, one way ore another I have to be right with him.
I was also told to try giving him a piece of my clothing to lay on or one of those heartbeat teddy bears.

Get a swing! Nothing better
Looks like you have a lively baby. Good luck have fun and be thankful for your quiet time at night. I have had two children so far and firmly believe that some kids have lots of energy and need less sleep.
But yes get a swing it sometimes really helps calm overtired cranky babies. And get out a bit with baby so that you arrive home a bit before the time you want him to nap during the day.

Try swaddling him in a blanket and putting him in his car seat, swing, or bouncer. These all will help him feel secure like he does with you. My son did the same thing until we put him in his car seat. Now he sleeps there for hours on end and loves it. Good Luck

My son would stay awake for up to 8 hours straight from day one. My son HATED to be swaddled. He however LOVED to sit in his swing (supported by blankets and such) or laid on the sofa in his boppy under the lamp light. He would just kick and goo and carry on for hours and was VERY content.

you may choose to be waking her up each 3-4 hours interior the 1st one to 2 weeks till she has won back her beginning weight. she would be in a position to start dropping weight that why. My son slept for long sessions of time while he first got here abode and would known practitioner advised me that it substitute into risky because of the fact newborns dont unavoidably understand while they are hungry mutually as they are sound asleep so they wont wake themselves up. yet while uncertain, call your known practitioner or in case you dont have, call a birthing center. they are going to understand greater.

Babies like tight, closed areas, and that means you need to keep them wrapped in something if they aren't old enough to walk.
Usually, wrapping the baby in a blanket will do the trick.

You should try going for a drive with your baby around the block or just drive around. When my nephew was that age that's what his mom/dad did if he was having trouble sleeping. It usually worked.

Dark room
Your baby is stil so young. Nothing wrong with taking a nap with him in your arms. My grandson did that and we all just enjoyed him.Your baby will change scheduals as he grows.
