...also, why do male teachers get treated harshly by the law for it? Shouldn't both men & women always get the same "go to jail for a looooong time" sentence for that crime?
& why is it mostly pretty white female teachers who do this? Do they think they can do anything they want because they're deemed most attractive in U.S.? The law is sure teaching them they can get away with anything. Here's the list of women:
Debra Lafave, 26, - Guilty, but doesn't go to prison. Lawyer says, she's "too pretty to go to jail," even though attractive guys get thrown in jail to be raped & killed for simple crimes every day.
Cameo Patch, 29, - 5 years prison.
Margaret De Barraicua, 30, - 5 years.
Traci Tapp, 28, - No jail time.
Nicole Andrea Barnhart, 35, -2 to 6 years.
The list goes on, it had more than 50 of these women on it, & thats just in the past few years. I learned that some of these women even physically abused the boys. Some of these women are married.

It almost seems it would be easier to be a pretty white girl in the U.S., that way, you usually won't be treated as harsh, unless ofcourse your reeeally stupid.

dorianalw... - Where dd you get your information from. Men get 10, 20, 40, or more years in prisin with out question. These women get either no jail time or 5 years. Amazing you don't see anything a tad bit off about that.
And whats so hard about understanding my question? My question is why does this unfairness happen in a place that claims to praise equality?
Also, women don't get pregnant eitehr when they're careful and know their bodies period cycle.

robby miszti - yeah but these women are adults and so they know the circumstances of the horny teenage male before going to teach. And so when they go to class dressed as attractive as possible, and flirt, they know what their doing and what to expect. Women aren't children, they know whats up. These kinds of women simply want to know how much they can get away with.
Especially since "women are more mature than men", this is inexcusable.

They can't be blamed because of their good looks that guys would want to sleep with them. I'm guessing most of these woman teach High school. They are exposed to horny guys all the time and I think that is one of the reasons why the courts are more leniant on them. Males are more aggressive flirts then most females(with some exceptions of course) so when a female is acused of having sex with a student then it makes it seem like the guy initiated the action. With men it is also dangerous because a court looks at the situation differently and assumes the male pressured the female into sex because they are viewed as more submissive.
Thus HOT FEMALE school teach= pressured into sex by guy
Male teacher(hot or not)= pressured girl/guy into sex
Its all Bias and stereotypes

From the prison sentences you are posting here, they seem to match those given to males under the same circumstances. Sorry I do not get your point unless, your reason for this question is to start a debate on female vs. male or the other way around....
BTW, ...men teachers do not get pregnant from their sexual encounters with their students.....LOL

For my money, abusing a child is abusing a child no matter their age or sex and should be punished equally.
