I'm very skeptical of global warming. When I was a kid back in the seventies the conventional wisdom was there would be a new ice age sometime around the year 2000. It was even a front page story in Time magazine. Fool me once...

Only tree hugging liberal Democrats believe in global warming according to conservative snowy owl killing Republicans. Is that what Rush Bimbo told ya? This is a very complex issue and believing global warming as an irreversible condition on Earth is not accurate for those that have proven that it is occuring right now. The global environment changes and warming occurs and it changes all the time. It is an idisputable fact and not debateable that warming is occuring right now and to think otherwise is not a debate but a fact. We have had some of the most mild winters here in Ohio than ever. I remember when it was really cold. It is almost December and it is supposed to get up to 69 or 70 degrees on the 30th of November here. Is that warm enough?

In the London England area since the Clean Air Act was passed there has been a significant change in the local climate. We no longer have a permanent haze over London nor the thick 'pea soupers' (smogs) at this time of the year. As for global warming, there have been iceages, so there must have been global warming at the other extreme. If it is purely due to human activity, politicians and scientists will try to create a career for themselves by forcing us to believe we can make a difference.

Yes. It helped create life on earth. Remember the ice age? What do you think melted all that ice to form the oceans?
But it sounds like you are talking about man-made warming due to greenhouse gases. It is a fact that since industrialization global warming has sped up.
There is a theory that life could be produced on Mars if global warming could be introduced that would melt the ice and create water. The gases would create an atmosphere that would trap heat and create livable temperatures.
Is there such a thing as global warming? Yes. Can man create global warming? If we could do it somehow on Mars that would be proof, wouldn't it?.

Global warming is a fact. Throughout the history of the earth the temperture levels have gone up and down. What I'm not so sure about is that we are causing it. I think it would probably happen anyway.
On the other hand I do think we are abusing the environment we live in which will end up with us destroying ourselves. The planet will recover. The human race won't.

It's not so much a question of do you believe in it... moreso, do you believe that we can stop it? Other countries, perhaps... America? Yeah right. George Bush said himself that the means to stop global warming would have severly negative effects on our economy and thrust us into another depression, possibly irrecoverable... Funny, I didn't know anyone watching the world burn away wasn't depressed about it? visit www.stopglobalwarming.org
