Think about it, its mostly philosophy based on counter-intuitive thinking that the natural world is made of "strings" which we can't see and are not made of physical atoms but of "supernatural" higher elements. woooow

A person who believes in physics can still believe in God. All he has to do is clarify the meaning of the word "God". It means whatever created and/or controls the universe.

Therefore, by definition, if nothing created nor controls the universe, then God is nothing. But just because he's nothing doesn't mean he doesn't exist. Zero is a number which is nothing, but it still exists as a number.

That proves that God is real if you simply clarify your definition of what you mean by God. You can then take the existence of God as a given, and proceed to discuss a lot of different qualities and characteristics he might or might not have.

Once physicists start to talk along those lines, physics does indeed start to sound like a religion.

It's true that string theory defies the typical scientific approach, (e.g. it might not be verifiable or falsifiable), but that doesn't mean it's a religion. I don't see people attending the string theory temple on Sundays. Also, you're equating physics with string theory. Physics is larger than one theory.

Why do you suppose so? Definitely not. The strings are certainly not "supernatural" elements as you would like to believe.

It could be to some people. I also imagine there are aplenty people who believe in Physics and are still Christian.

Physics is about science, while religion is about God, everything he has done and all about him. So my answer is "no".
