Newegg.com undercuts TigerDirect at every turn. Newegg is an excellent online retailer.

I'm afraid I cannot recommend Fry's, as they've stooped so low as to offer refurbished items under a "new" tag. Beware!

Look at CompUSA for occasional sales. Subscribe to their newsletter. They have outstanding deals - often even better than newegg - every week, every time on a different item. However, you have to be pretty lucky to have the item you want on sale when you need it :).

Check and see if where you live has a Fry's Electronic store, that THE BEST place to get computer stuff (it's a huge super electronic store)

If you want good online computer site then www.newegg.com is #1 it has a lot of customer reviews to take ref. after that is www.buy.com. Fry's also has a site which is www.frys.com ,it is a rather simply site but it has good price so if you know what you want then check it out.

TigerDirect is NOT a good place to buy computer parts. They're just well-known because they spend so much money on advertising. That doesn't make you good, it just makes you more expensive, or offer cheaper parts for the same price as other places are selling good components, which has been TigerDirect's policy from day one.

http://www.newegg.com/ is the best place to buy either computer parts or entire pre-built computers.
http://www.clubit.com/ is also good, but they have far less of a selection
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/ isn't bad either
