Yes, Heath Ledger played Sonny Grotowski, the son of prison guard, Hank Growtowski (Billy Bob Thornton). Sonny was groomed to take care of Lawrence Musgrove (Sean Combs) until his execution and jacks it up by getting sick and dropping out of walking Musgrove to his death. He eventually succumbs to the pressures of his father and grandfather by commiting suicide in front of them.It was a deeply moving and sad role for Ledger, he played it well.

YES. BILLY BOB WAS BROUGHT UP PREJUDICE BY HIS PARENTS. AND ALSO THOUGHT THAT HEATHS CHARACTER WAS WEAK , FOR BEING A DECENT HUMAN BEING.

yes ,that was his son that he treated bad and he couldn't live up 2 his dad bein a guard in jail ..he killed himself which was pretty sad..
