It's hard to do, but being honest is going to be your best bet. Tell her your concerns and hopefully she will understand. No one really wants to learn that their teenage daughter is having sex, but if you give her a valid reason for wanting to get onto birth control, it can hopefully help ease the difficulty. I believe to get birth control from your doctor you have to be 18 or have a parental consent (not completely sure), but you could also find a Planned Parenthood clinic and discuss some of your options there. Also, use condoms, please! You don't need a prescription for condoms!! So, a condom may "dull" some of the sexual sensations, but would you rather have that or a baby on the way?

Because you're already having sex, the whole line of 'wait till you get married' is too late. Those kind of comments are a little old fashioned (Power to those who do wait though). Your mum and dad do have your best interests at heart, but you just have to be honest and let them know that you are having sex and you are wanting to be responsible and do the right thing. I live in Australia and we have family planning clinics who can help. We can also visit our local doctor and take the initiative to get the birth control ourselves. There is also your local pharmacy for protection and spermicides which if all else fails may help. Good luck. Just b honest with your mum and dad.

Let her know you are not looking for approval, just help. Tell her by putting you on birth control she is not saying it is OK for you to have sex, it is just so if (or when) you have sex you want to be smart about it and not get pregnant. My wife got pregnant at age 17 and her mom wouldn't put her on birth control. As much as we love our daughter and wouldn't change things for the world it was a hard life growing up with a kid at 17 and if her mom would have listened it wouldn't have happened.

You can go to a Planned Parenthood and get birth control. They may send a note home to your Mom (not all states require this) but it would be much better for you to have it and let her get over it than the unwanted consequences of not using birth control.

I mean she sure as heck is going to flip out if you get pregnant so tell her you are sexually active and then she Will help you.

any parent will oppose on your plan to engage your self in PRE MARITAL SEX.Look at it this way. What if you did it with your BF, how sure are you that HE WON'T BE TELLING IT TO HIS FRIENDS WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT. how about the feeling of your BIRTH CONTROL PILLS is inn EFFECTIVE AND YOU GOT PREGNANT. Or the saddest part is he JUST DISAPPEARED IN THIN AIR. Don't just think twice, think 10 times before doing it. ABORTION IS A SIN and there are lots of UNWED MOTHERS, don't join the club. Truly your life will be miserable. You still have a nice future ahead. If you are really meant for each other he cam wait

Since you are almost 18, wait and then get BC on your own. Just be really careful, track your cycle and use condoms

Your mom is right. You shouldn't be having sex untill you are married. Yes, you can handle that, a truly mature person would do whatever she could to ensure her future success.
