According to http://www.knowyourperiod.com/myths_main.htm it is perfectly safe to have intercourse while menstrating. Unlike the BAD advice given by Miss Voe, period blood IS NOT poisonous. As long as the proper protection is used, such as a condom, a pregnancy will not likely result as the period is the female bodies way of getting rid of the unfertilized egg and the unused uterine lining.

Yes the first 7 days of your periods is very safe.

there is still a small chance of getting pregnant.

there is also a greater chance of the girl getting an infection, since her lining is engorged and more vulnerable to tearing and getting infected.

other than that: it sounds yucky and messy, and probably uncomfortable for the girl. cant u just wait the 4 or 5 days till her period ends?

No its not really safe.
First of all there are still chances of getting pregnant even if you are having your period. And the second reason is that you are more prone to infections.

It is a little less likely to get pregnant during your period, but still entirely possible. And of course you are just as likely to get STDs from unprotected sex during your period.

No it is not safe at all. There are many STDs including Hepatitis and Aids that are passed by blood. Unless you are married I would refrane at that time. Plus you have a good chance of getting prenant at this time as well.

if you're on birth control or using some type of contraceptive. when a woman is on her period, that is the best time for her to get pregnant, but if you're not worried about that, it could cause a yeast infection and I think I.U.D, I'm not to sure about the last one, but you can get a yeast infection. you must remember that when a woman is having her period, its a cleansing of the womb, period blood is very poisonous.

Yes although I don't see why anyone would want to. (if your talking health.
but if your talking about safe against pregnancy then no....you can still get pregnant. Though the outcome is slim it still isn't unheard of.
