I am working in a Mktg and consultation company specialised in Loyalty programmes. I have a hard time trying to convince organisations that Loyalty Programme is not a "nice to have" programme its a crucial tool used to retain and eventually increase revenue for the company BUT they seems unconvinced though I provided some case studies and examples of sucessful clients BUT of different industry

Most companies view loyalty programmes as an expense over anything else. It usually comes down to a personal preference or a lack of understanding in the small to medium sized business mentality. This is the corporate culture and understanding the mind set is important. The type of industry you promote to is not important, the information you convey is. Detailing success stories and proof in another sector is fine, but what are the tangible results for this specific business you are selling to? With each presentation you make, you must understand the business or industry you approach with research on their specific clients. This will show that you do have an interest in their success and this will be a value added service that they provide to clients tailored just for them. Ask them to work with the programme for one year and they will see an increase in business of at least 15%. That is a results driven programme that increases the bottom line and further invites them to increase expenditures on your programme. You may have the best programme in the world, but you have to know and understand your market and how you can positively affect the outcome overall with this programme. Nothing is free, if it's worth it, you have to earn it.

Best of Luck

well it is a must have if there are any competitors to that company; for example; i work as a marketing manager for a mall; and i had a hard time convincing my management that we need to have loyalty cards; and because we were the only mall in the area; they didn't really approve on that; but now; as we have a competitor coming; they asked me to work on this again; which is somehow wrong;as our customers will notice that when they can choose between us or other places we gave them the attention needed; so loyalty programs are an important thing to have for each company from the beginning; customers usually they tend to be more loyal and will be willing to spend more money for your company more than the other; now the kind of program differs from one company to another and from a product to another; and the rewards depends on the price of the product; so what you have to do; is to find a case for something in the same industry; and work on it; try to implement it to this company with the idea of much profit it will increase; as when they see higher figures; they will go for it:) good luck
