I know they're adored by their fellow Englishman...
they're just sensationalized though...like the Arctic Monkeys...even Australia is marketing crappy rock music like this with the Vines, Jets, etc...anyways, I think Oasis is the most unoriginal, arrogant, least talented band going...
just a rip off band that takes credit from others.

To me, the worst bands, EASILY, post-grunge, are the Limpkin Kornbizkits. Chubby nerdy white guys, with a few tats and a backward baseball cap, doing a lame rap over a tired, simple metal riff. Uggh!!! And it took over the airwaves for years!
They ruined rock for a good couple years. So many great bands radio will not touch, but they'll play this monotonous monotone crap over and over and over! AAARRGGGHHHH!!!!!! I hate it SO BAD! Sorry to rant.

Personally, I'm quite partial to a bit of Oasis here and there.
I think the attitudes of some of the bands members are a little lamer than the music itself. They're quite renowned for throwing silly temper tantrums, and making offensive comments.

Once bands reach that 'rock god' status, I think they do become a wee bit lazy, and have to rely on their fans and the adoring media to sell the records as successfully as they intend.

I guess all bands have their good stuff and their lame stuff, and Oasis are no different. Their older albums are much better, though, and much less "lame" than their new stuff.

You can hear a lot of similarities between them and the old-school Brit bands. All artists will draw inspiration from somewhere though, and if Oasis have lasted this long, they have to be doing something right. Although they sound like the Beatles (for example) sometimes, they do have their own unique sounds as well.

Haha. I don't think so. There are way worse bands out there than Oasis, like My Chemical Romance or Fall Out Boy.

Oasis has some older albums that are really good, but their newer stuff isn't all that great, I suppose. I used to be a big fan when I was younger, but not so much now.

Plus, Noel and Liam are really cocky and egotistical. There is too much drama in that band. I would NOT want to be in Oasis. It's probably drama every day with them.
