What does Shakespeare show to everyone about Juliets naiveness?

I need help with my thesis. Its supposed to include the character, her fatal flaw, and the universal theme. And then try to explain it in a human/life experience.

Juliet was not naive at all!!!! Shakespeare meantions many times how they were star crossed lovers so they were ment to be she didn't jump in to anything. It was society around her that is naive. OK and here is where universal comes in Shakespeare tried to show us this in another play Othello.... If it's meant to be then your gonna fall in love oh well. It doesn't matter who if they are rich ,poor, your enemy, a different race, same sex, etc. It society around them that makes that love become fatal because they would not be able to except the real love they had. Both Romeo and Juliet before meeting each other had a very true and idealistic look on love compared to the people in their life's. they knew they were soul mates the momeant they met, it was ment to be. but their families at war with each other put a bump in the road and one thing lead to another and which makes this play a tragic one.

I used to take this text. Deal with her soliloquy on the balcony, her meetings with Romeo. She has her impetuous moments (i forgot when) but you can find them in the book. She rejects Paris and ignores her nurse's warnings. So she jumps to conclusion and thinks Romeo is dead.
I'm not sure what is the universal theme.... Human life experience, u can discuss if people are able to handle crisis or just commit suicide without thinking.
Good luck!

naiveness? I wouldn't say Juliet was naive...She knew exactly what she was doing. She tried to hide from her family she was dating an "enemy". She fought for her love till the very end. I would describe her as quite a decisive person..
But maybe your professor (or whoever gave u the task to write an essay on this topic) supposes that believing in the fact that true love can overcome all the obstacles is naive...:)
