Sadly it was ON my 12th birthday. My family doesn't celebrate birthday (don't ask because I don't know). My best friends mom threw a sleep over party for me. It was great. I was never taught anything about periods or anything like this. I thought I was bleeding to death. I was VERY close to my great grandfather (R.I.P.). I called him and he came and picked me up and took me to a pharmacy and asked a lady he knew to explain it all to me. He then took me back to my party. lol

I was almost 15. I was babysitting and was working out to Richard Simmons "Dancing to the Oldies" LOL. I just put some TP in my undies until i got hom and then borrowed one of my twin sisters pads. She started her period when we were 11. I totally forgot to even tell my mom until hours later. It wasnt a big deal to me at all, i couldn't care less about "being a woman" then or now. Periods suck

First; Norton is FEMALE.
Second, I was 12, I was in a hotel in Taiwan, we had just gotten there, my Dad was immediately sent TDY to Japan.
It was just my sister, my Mom and me.
Pretty strange, but memorable.
First time I think I really appreciated a big sister. Mom was an Irish Catholic who was not good at that sort of education.
Until I talked to my sister I thought Taiwan had made me very ill.
Which it did later, but it had nothing to do with my period.

I was lucky enough to be at home on Summer break. It happend not long after I woke up one morning. Funny thing....I didn't see it again for 6 months. Then it was fairly normal. I think I was 12 when it happend.

i was 13 years old as well at school on the monkey bars and some girl told me she seen blood between my legs i think she was gay lol because the blood was actually in the front of my pants

i was geeting ready to cheer at a game i was only ten going to the six grade that next year i was okay with it. it didn't hurt i just put on a pad and went to the football game

I was at my mom's house with my cousin and she is the one that told me it was my period i think i was 12
