You need either a pair of plyers or a coax tool. Your not going to get it loose with anything else. If you do, it will be a stroke of luck.

Both true responses. UNPLUG IT... Athletic tape makes it a bit easier, scissors **gently** work a little better...I've used coins on the two surfaces that the scissors touch (good way to ruin scissors,) but realize you now have 6 surfaces that can slip. And snip off bits of you that you would rather hang on to. Like fingers. Really, best to head to Wal Mart and get some cheap pliers. Or better yet, an adjustable wrench. Put it in a drawer - you'll need it again elsewhere.

I would suggest you buy a pair of "channel lock" pliers. That will give you all the leverage you need. If worried about the "finish" on the connector, wrap with regular adhesive first aid tape before usng the pliers. Don't squeeze too tight or you can "crush" both the nut and the connector it is screwed on to.

They are NOT that expensive, and you will find they have many uses on various bolts around the house.

That is what I use to install and remove Coax connectors of many types on various indoor and outdoor connections, to be sure they don't come loose!!

Hi,
If you do not have a tool, and it has only been hand tightened try wrapping first aid tape around it, it gives a little more grip?, also, you can try scissors gentley over the tape, please turn off the VCR first

Try a fork, bend the prongs if your lucky you will have the right kind of silverware. Maybe an eye lash curler.

Let's try something simple first. Apply or spray WD40 onto the screw (is it a screw?) and walk away.

Come back in an hour or so and try it again.
