Becoming a roadie???? Need your help!!!?

How does one become part of a band's support or crew or staff on the road? I need to know asap..any suggestions? Thanks

if its a local band I would just walk up and talk to one of them and ask

A famous band I think it would be a little harder cause they have prob. had band tecks for years and would worry about hiring new people since they are famous.
