Are you referring to "Night" by Elie Weisel?
It is an account by Weisel on his experience in surviving the Nazi Holocaust in World War II. Weisel, who is still alive today, is an Orthodox Jew who lived in Hungary as a child. Hungary, only a few years after Hitler became the German Chancellor, was taken over by the Germans. With Hitler advocating a staunch and harsh treatment of the Jews, Weisel and his family were arrested and imprisoned in a concentration camp. Having read the book, I will tell you that it is very graphic and heart wrenching.
In your book report, which usually means you are summing up the book and not actually arguing a point, I would just go through the various steps of Weisel's life during the Holocaust. As you sum up everything, I would add how his descriptions and style affect the emotions of the reader. After doing this, your conclusion paragraph should address how you felt about the book and how it affected your emotions.
Be sure to cite the specific pages if you reference anything in the book. If you read the book a while ago and want to refresh yourself on the plot, I would advise you to check out Wikipedia. However, I would caution you to only use that to refresh your memory. I would not recommend that you read any analysis of the book in order to ensure that you do not inadvertently plagiarize.
Plagiarism is wrong, and in some institutions it will get you expelled. You must cite anything that is not your own idea, such as when referencing the text. For this reason I recommend that you be careful if you do seek out a short refresher on the book. You want your conclusions to be your own, not to be something that stuck in the back of your mind after reading someone else's thoughts on the work.
