the Da vinci code was a book written to make money on the need to doubt the church, the church has in fact brought that on themselves with all the sex scandals. However it is a farce, for it is based on theories that are totally illogical with no facts to back them up. The Bible on the other hand is based on old scrolls written the same over and over again by many generations of people from that period. Now not everyone is a liar. Jesus was a Rabbi and a Jew, yes he was the decendent of King David (a levite) and David was the same boy that slew Goliath, and the philistines, under King Saul. But David and his son King Solomon were both dead during Jesus's lifetime. Yet are you asking if the Templars were killed because they believed in a Jewish King, but everyone knew Jesus was crowned King of the Jews upon his death with the thorny crown. Because the Templars were slain by the Arabs in Jeruselum. Not because of Jesus but because the Templars were merciless, and they slaughtered women and children all over the muslim/arab territories. By the way alot of them came from France, reminds me of the history of the Frence Foreign Legion, made of of murderers and rapists, thieves and liars, everywhere they have been they have created chaos and caused a war, Lebanon /Beirut in the 50's 60's and Viet Nam in the 60's, Mexico, 1800's 1900's etc.,

The Knights Templar knew that Jesus was a descendant of King David, but so did everyone else who had read the Bible.
The Templars didn't exist until more than a thousand years after Jesus' time. They were killed because they were seen as a threat to the power of the church.

The Da Vinci code is fiction. The King David story is probably fiction, likewise most of the Jesus story.

Not only that, but they wanted to protect his wife, Mary Magdalene, and their child Sarah, from being killed by the church because Jesus was supposed to be a holy man. If you watch DaVinci Code, it's more in-depth with it.
