One can't pin the blame only on Dravid's captaincy. Its a collective irresponsibility. What about the selectors? Why is Sachin in the team...for his current form or for the past records? Why is Shehwag in the team? What is Kaif doing? What role is Pathan's?
The much hyped coach also seems to be clueless. Experimenting has reached comic to hopeless proportions. The amount of aggression the coach shows in front of the camera seems to be missing in what he coaches...
As far as the players are concerned...no one seems to be in form except an occasional flash in the pan!
One billion people, and tons of money with BCCI. Youth hungry for livelihood and career. Can't the BCCI start a grass-root development program and start identifying talent. Cant BCCI make bouncy pitches exclusively for practise ahead of SA/NZ tours?
Any discussion about cricket has become an intellectual masturbation in the country!!!!

Did you say Dravid's Leadership.... I have not seen it to comment on it.

I seriously think that Dravid lacks any qualty a true leader has to Possess. Mostly, Leader should be one who can take things Head on. Dravid doing this is a absolute Rarity I guess.

We need a more agresive captain I guess Sachin is the best choice as of now. He will do a very good job I am more than Sure about....

Enjoy!!!

Dravid is alright anytime...he can do his job perfectly anywhere anytime...that is no problem..
The only problem for India is GREG CHAPPELL and the INDIAN officials who are always saying a big "Y E S" for greg... If GREG and his companions are pulled out of our team..then it will be the perfect

remember - a captain is as good as his team ...

I personally believe Dravid's is wasting a lot of his positive mental energy to counter the public impression that he is the puppet of Chappell, and whatever is left is clearly not adequate on the field (let's not forget that he is our best batsman as well) ...

definitely YES.....

the last match had every possible defect u could find in a captain....

he just could'nt manage the bowlers.....no good captain could let the opposition get a 270+ after them being 76/6....

taking Zaheer out of the attack at a time when he was almost unplayable....7 overs for 9 runs with 3 maidens and those crucial wickets.....he could easily have gone for zaheer to complete his 10 overs.....go for complete attack....'nd we cud hv winded up the SA's inngs. under 30 overs.... he brought him back at around 45th over and made him the victim of those slogs by hall and kemp...

he took sachin outta d attack just when he was lookin good.... btw not just in this match....u wud 'lways find him using the traditional way of bowling the pacemen until the 12th over then shifting to spin.... let it go until the 40th over 'nd then bringing the pacers again....totally irrespective of what the match situation is or what the match demands....

this probably could be b'cuz mr. dictator chappell would not hv assisted him on 'experimentation' on bowling yet...

talking of batting...well every1 knows its all messed up....he just acts as a puppet of the coach....noone in the team knows what position or role in batting hv they got...he would try 'n open at times....fail....get back to the lower middle order....shuffles with the no.3 position...every1 over thr fails......then gets himself back at no.3 and plays an inngs. like the last one....a 120 odd ball "63"...just to escape fingers being pointed on him at a situation where team needed a run rate of 7+.....

its all messy...real messy.....and if this dictatorship of mr. chappell is the reason behind the ganguly controversy and him being kicked out of the team....well.....every Indian should be proud of ganguly.....

Yes, Because he has no ability to encourage his followers when they are in trouble or when they loose patience. He himself comes under pressure and couldn't prove himself as a leader of Indian cricket team.
