i was on b.c for almost 2 years, and i have been off of it since like the end of september, and i got pregnant a few weeks ago. so why is it that i keep reading all these things on here saying that it takes like a year to get pregnant after comming of b.c?? and if its supposed to take so long, than why do the doctors say that if you miss a pill you are more fertile?

It's all about timing when it comes down to healthy couples. Many women or couples that have trouble getting pregnant after coming off of birth control blame it on that, when it's not to blame at all. Also, not many people realize (or want to realize) that it takes a healthy couple on average up to a year to become pregnant, whether or not the woman was previously on birth control.
