My car recently had the cam posistioning sensor replaced, and I thought this would fix the jerking, but to no avail. It primarily occurs during mid-range acceleration, esp going uphill, its not violent, its usually just a quick bumb or 2. It also does it when I give it gas in reverse, but is fine if I just shift into reverse and idle backwards, any help would be great, because it cost 486$ to get the sensor replaced and I have to drive home(800 miles) in 2 weeks

First things to do, all regular maintenance items need replacing if not done(air filter, fuel filter, plugs, wires). If this has been done, 2 areas to check, ignition coil and fuel delivery(i.e. pump pressure and injector pressure.)
