I have read and heard often that in order to lead a life of meaning, we have to follow our life purpose with passion. Well I have been trying to understand my purpose but I am getting muddle headed. I love doing the following - Creative work - web design, graphic design, canvas painting, photography, travelling, wildlife, exploring, talking to new people, exploring new cultures, enjoying freedom, serving/helping others, innovating/inventing, experimenting. Also I get bored doing one thing or being in one profession for a long time as I always need a change or a challenge. So it is difficult for me to articulate what could be my ultimate purpose as I feel like doing a lot of things all at once. Hence I am not able to decide where I can focus my mental and physical energy.
Could any body guide me on the above dilemma.
Thanks in advance :)

You seem to know what you love doing, and there are a few choices, so why haven't you picked one? Why hasn't one held your interest enough for you to make it your life's passion? You've made a list of creative and fun things, then you stuck in serving/helping others. I'm sure you like helping others, but it sounds a bit like you felt the need to stick in something that isn't frivolous. Sometimes we think in order to fulfill our life properly we have to sacrifice and God forbid we have fun. There are lots of ways to fulfill our lives and we all can't be the one who finds the cure for cancer. People find enjoyment in music, rock stars fill a void that is necessary even though we wouldn't consider them pious by any stretch of the imagination, but music does indeed soothe the soul, life would be empty without it. A waitress takes care of a lot of people in one afternoon, it's not most people's idea of a dream job, but with a genuine smile, maybe a friendly word she's brightened someone's day. Her purpose in life? Probably.
Painting, photographing, all these things move humanity in many different ways. Any of those would be idealistic professions. Humanity needs to find comfort, that is what art is all about. It also serves to stir the imagination. So travel around potographing wildlife then painting them while you enjoy your freedom. Lol. Whatever you choose humanity is served. You'll know when you hit on it because you will keep coming back to it. Whatever it is you will have fulfilled your life purpose.

I think that you must focus upon that which will offer you the greatest personal satisfaction, not just financially, but in doing that which will allow you to be an influence on others in a positive way. If you are creative you already have a door open to you. Creative people are continually facing challenges within their chosen path. It is important for you to identify what it is you wish to achieve and then proceed to strategize as to how you will go about it. You can be a jack of all trades and master of none, or you can become the best you can be in what you can do best. Hope this stimulates some new areas of thought for you.

To begin with, you are a part of my journey in my life. The fact that you have posted here and that I am responding, means that one purpose in your life is to make others consider the same question. I don't think there is a person living today who has not asked the same question (I certainly have).
It is not possible to spend our entire life being passionate about something, it would be far too exhausting! I get the feeling that you are very important to a lot of people and that you are close to understanding your purpose in life.
Thank you for posting here, I am one more person who you have helped.

Hello. My best advice to you is: research different job fields and pastimes. Then write a list of positives and negatives about each job and hobby. Talk to a college counselor about all of your interests and hobbies. Before deciding what field to major in and making a spur of the moment decision, do your research on what the job requires. Do you have the physical strength it takes to do this job? Do you want to spend several years in school to get your master's degree? Does the job/hobby fit in with your goals and schedule? Can you see yourself doing this job/hobby happilly in the future?
You need to find what matters most to you in life and spend your life doing that. Life is short and don't waste your life doing useless things that years from now you'll be saying "What was I thinking when I was ___ years old?" To sum up everything I've been saying "You need to make a plan". Focus on something you want and try everything you can to get it. Like kids focus on getting a toy or ice cream and they try everything they can to get it by using strategy, this is what you need to do. I can tell by what you said that you're very open minded, you love to learn, and you want to show people the importance of what you find important.
In my opinion, a good job for you (from reading what you posted) is a newspaper columnist or news reporter. You could TRAVEL to another state or out of country and MEET MANY DIFFERENT PEOPLE, and learn about DIFFERENT CULTURES, THEN YOU COULD WRITE OR REPORT TO OTHERS THE IMPORTANCE OF WHAT YOU LEARNED. Since you get bored doing the same thing all of the time, this job in my opinion seems like an excellent job for you.
But don't forget to see a college counselor. I hope this helps.

Dear Friend,
The purpose of life is NONE of the above dozen things that you have done and done well. These things are means to an end and NOT end in themselves. .
Many of us, in our lives , mistake a tree for a forest and they argue accordingly. There are higher goals in life and all that we learn and do help us in manouvering in the world to go towards those higher goals. For example, one of your higher goals could be to become aware of yourself ( self knowledge). With self knowledge you will understand yourself better. You will know that all you have been doing are simple "roleplays" in life as a designer, an explorer and things like that.. These role plays are absolutely necessary to get along in life.
You will, in due course know by yourself the purpose of life. That is the beauty.

If you take the Hindu belief, you are continually reincarnated until you complete your purpose in life. For Christians, true purpose is complete when you do die. I don't think that you can just go out and find your purpose in life. It just is. It comes to you. Focus your energy on what you love and what your true passion is....that will lead you in the right direction

You sound like a Jack of all trades. Our purpose in life changes through different stages of our life. Just take a step at a time towards your goal, and as you move along, you may find that everything will start to fix accordingly.

Do your best in the daily things that is required from you. This is a challenge in itself. No matter how varied they are and no matter how "small" they are . Put your indelible good mark on them. One can never completely and truly discover one's purpose in life. We discover it little by little as we go on with our daily tasks. Let it come at the right time. The supreme being above knows when that right time is. (No matter what religion you belong to). As you grow older, you grow with wisdom to be able to discern things. In the meantime, make good choices and give your best to whatever choice you have selected. Good luck vivekrai.

'serving/helping others' is not a good thing
surely u must enjoy something more than the others...so treat everything else as a LOSS of precious time
ur question is like asking -"Do i wanna make 78$, 83$,107$, 69$,
91$, or 99$ ?"
