Not harder at all, just exercise and lose some weight.
Fat lazy people have no excuses. Either do something to
burn calories or sit eating on the couch all day wondering why
you are FAT.

O, c'mon, you're killin' me! Somehow, I find these questions of yours almost mastubatory. It's like you want someone to tell you that fat unattractive people are horrible and will live a horrible unfulfilling life? Is this to feed some craven need to NOT be fat and unattractive? Is this a way to justify being pretty and skinny? The sad thing is you're right; there was a newspaper article I read in Chicago in 2001, I think, that said that people who are not overweight do earn more money, are considered first for certain occupations, hence they are hindered less in the corporate world. Because the standard of beauty and health in America is so skewed, of course, fat unattractive people are going to have it harder than one who is not. Now are you asking because you truly care? Or you just want to separate your circumstance from those you feel are unfortunate? I could be wrong; you could be the 'overweight, unattractive person' you're asking about. However, I don't think any self-respecting 'overweight, unattractive' person would (1) categorize themselves with obviously so little empathy, (2) believe that being 'overweight/fat' and 'unattractive' were synonymous or (3) state the so-offensively obvious.

I think it can be very difficult. People can be shallow and rude. People also judge overweight people by looking at them. Some people assume bigger people are lazy and so on. Over weight teens get picked on at school and that can lead to depression and low grades. While fit attractive teens get the good attention. I know this because my sister used to be overweight. Now that she is thin everyone is so nice and respectful. A lot has changed for her. Although not all overweight people go through that. Some are luckier.

You know I think it is how you perceive yourself. If you are whatever if you hang your head low and are not confident in yourself people are going to see you differently. You could be the most beautiful girl in the room but your body language would show otherwise. I have seen women who were not at all that attractive, act confident and have a smile on their face and people treated them with respect, and I have seen some pretty people who had no confidence at all. If you believe in yourself and your abilities you should have no problems functioning in society because your attitude will radiate more than looks or a little extra weight. I think people with a good head on their shoulders and a smile for the world are much more beautiful.

2 to 3 times as hard in my opinion and I say that right now while feelin' a tiny bit like the glass is half empty. I usually don't feel it as bad because most of the time I am not trying to act like a peacock and impress everybody, but boy there have been times have felt really low over thinking about what another persons judgments of my stature are or may be. Let me tell ya there are sooo many negatives people can easily assume of you just because you are fat. Like people I have heard say that they think I am lazy, selfish, or lacking in compassion on some level with other people because of my weight. As far as being ugly I found it doesn't take much for a person these days not to need or like you if you aren't pretty to them in some way and if they decide they find that you are repulsive in some manner they will justify labeling you with other defective traits just to justify their over all disgust with you. Not everyone will judge you like that. A good portion of them will no matter what but you have to decide who do you wanna impress. If you wanna lose weight for your health then by all means.. that is great because we all know that not all a heavy persons pain comes from critics. Everyone should take care of themselves but if the reason you wanna lose weight is just to impress some judgmental busy bodies then I advise you to watch your own mentality as its a very unrealistic prospect from the stand point of a healthy mind mm'kay?

It is much harder... There has been many times on my job where they asked for people to do OT in high profile things & then asked me (who did not sign up for it) saying that the ones that did sign up, did not have the "look" they were after.

some psychologists did a study that showed that people were more likely to hire/trust/respect/like etc someone who was good looking and in good physical condition over someone who wasn't. if you think about it who are you more likly to ask for directions, the fat slobby trucker or a well built man in a suit?

I think it is very hard. It is one of the last, "acceptable" forms of predjudice in society. It's not acceptable to be a racist, etc. - but it's okay to make fun of a fat or ugly person.

Define attractive. Luckily, most people are not that shallow.
