SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY.

My menstruation flow is very heavy on the first couple days.
It's very awkward for me to stand up and sit down, etc.
What can I use/do?
I have always used pads but I don't want to use tampons.

My period is very heavy the first 3 to 4 days and last for 6 to 7=( I know how you feel. I was scared of tampons firsts myself. Then I turned 23 and figured what do I have to lose since TSS is so rare. Always use the absorbency that matches your flow and try to swith during the lighter days interchanging with pads. Calm your fears, hon. There is also this new method using a cup. There is one in particular named of all things the Diva Cup and another which is more easily found in drugstores named conveniently...Instead. It can get messy, as it stored the blood instead of absorb it (making it inconvenient if you are just starting out,, but as with tampons practice makes perfect). You should try that. If inserted properly you shouldn't feel a thing=)

I don't know how old you are, but heavy menstruation usually
comes with age...and of course if you are not on the pill, you may
experience heavier than those on the BCP's.
You may be suffering from benign fibroid in your uterus....
fibroid in uterus are like sponges, cyst type of tumors, not
cancerous....not to worry....usually caused by estrogen....
and they suck up all the blood and release it during the period,
causing the very thing you are describing in here....
If i were you, I would have an OB/GYN doctor checked
you. Thru pelvic examination and history they can determine
if this is correct and advise you of what step to take next.
Good Luck.

hi! i am really sorry to hear that..i have had a friend that had that problem before she would bleed very heavily for the first 2 days..drink lemonade..they say that lemon helps reduce bleeding...i know it may sound weird but it did help her..try to just stay in bed and lay down on your back for the first few days..i know its hard & easy for me to say but just try to rest..if it is way out of hand then you may want to talk to your doctor about it..
take care & good luck. :)
hope you get better

you really need to use both tampons and pads on heavy days. Why not use tampons?
