I just got a state job as a security counselor--help!?

I've never done anything like this before. It's at a sex offender prison, and I will be working night shift. I just want some ideas from anyone out there who's ACTUALLY DONE/DOING this to what it's like or any advice?

Surely, your new employer will have training and an employee handbook of policies and procedures. I'd ask them about that ASAP.
