Why do girls instantly hate girls that are prettier than them?

You wouldn't be asking that question if you, or someone close to you that you obviously respect and like, didn't think YOU were pretty. And how's that working for ya? I'm a pretty girl, but I'm telling you, there's nothing more rewarding than saying something intelligent in a conversation and watching people eyes light up in a way that doesn't just stop at my festive outfit and my lovely makeup. Beauty is only skin deep and last only a few years of your lifetime. Develop another way to take pride in yourself that is lasting, is what I say. You're the one who "wonders" about the quality of life for fat, unattractive girls. Is it because you really care if they're lonely or unhappy? Or if you want them to be because you actually are? Unfortunately, fat unattractive girls are still girls. Just like you. It's not about hating anyone, it's about understanding that a fat unattractive girl is just the flip side of a skinny attractive one. They can easily switch places, physically. But the fat unattractive girl will have a whole lot more personality, character and empathy for those unlike and like her. And that's better than the skinny attractive one will have when she becomes fat and unattractive.

I think it's the way the media and society nowadays put on the emphasis on external importance instead of inner beauty.
That's how women nowadays are being judged, hence, explains why women who hates/ felt intimidated by the other women who are prettier than them.

Jealousy, if they have something you want,but will never have, then lessening the value of that object will make you feel better. In the case your talking about lets say your pretty and the girl that hates you is ugly, she wants your beauty, but its not something you can buy, so shes going to hate you and talk **** and make you seem less than what you are.

Because they are insecure and jealous. Sometimes, girls are jealous of other girls because they are richer, smarter, thinner, more popular, or have a cuter boyfriend. It isn't always just because the other girl is prettier, although that is probably the most common reason. Jealousy and low self-esteem and insecurity are big problems with woman nowadays.

I don't think it is a question of automatically hating pretty girls - it's whether the "pretty" girls are pretty on the inside - in other words - if the pretty girls are being vain - then - yeah they are going to be hated on.
