I am tired of people telling me what to and what not to feed my baby.

1) Start a baby off on veggies.....
***It is scientifically proven that no matter what you start your baby on it will always prefer the taste of sweet foods to non sweet foods because it is HUMAN NATURE!! All you ahve to do is what like the discovery channel or ask a doctor.

2) Don't feed your baby before 6 months.....
***WHATEVER....My children could never get full from formula after 2 weeks and they started rice cereal in their bottles, by DOCTORS ORDERS. they were spoon fed cereal and food by 3 months and are perfectly fine. NO WEIGHT ISSUES, NO ALLERGIES, NOTHING, NADA!!

3) Only give a child 2 ounces of juice and the rest water....
***Honestly would you drink anything like that? I wouldn't make my kids eat or drink anythin I wouldn't personally eat or drink myself (except formula). Why should I give them things normal HUMANS WOULDN"T DRINK?

What are u tired of hearing that's wrong about YOUR BABY?

Yeah I can hear your frustration. I don't blame you, when my kids were little I was like you. Sick of hearing it all. You need to do this then that, heck even doctors get conflicting results at times. You are the childs parent. Parents usually 90% of the time, know their children BEST! Follow your instincts, use your common sense and you will do just fine.

That mother who dont breastfeed are bad parents because their kids will be sick and dumb. WHATEVER my baby was breast fed for one month and not to brag she hit all of her milestones early sometimes two months early and doesnt seem delayed or stupid in the slightest!

Once I was told to hold this three month old babies head like he was a porcelean doll...which is odd because my baby is nearly three months old and can hold her head up on her own no problem ninetly percent of the time.

The way my baby poops is not normal and someone suggested I put some honey adn something in a bottle to make her poop, that lady will not be babysitting because my baby poops as regular as she ever has been since the day she was born.

Not to bath the baby until her cord falls off by my doctor, and nurses telling me its okay to bathe her right from the start!

That she is not warm enough, her hands must be freezing, you need to keep your baby warm, when My baby refuses to have her hands covered up if I try and wrap up her little hands she will fuss and cry and even get red faced and groan until I set her hands free. I know that works for my baby anyways.

I agree. I hear so many different things. I'm told only feed bananas and and avos as fruit and limited veg until 7 or 8 months, but the sister at the clinic said I can start feeding all fruit and veg at 6 months, as well as egg white and meatjuices (?!).

Babies can start eating solids as early as 3/4 months. I think it's just general rule that by 6 months she should be eating someting.

If you don't pick up your baby when she's crying, she will feel that no one cares about her. Pick her up, but don't start charging to her every time she whines. There's a difference between crying and whining.

I just sort of winged it with my two.. I did ask my doctors advice, but he was a very open minded doctor and yes, he said try a little, if your baby takes it, go for it.. My son seemed to be a human vaccuum.. he wasnt satified after breast milk, I had to give him bottles too, and at 6 weeks, he was screaming for more.. I had to put cereal in his bottles just to shut him up.. He has always been a big eater.. he is healthy also... he loved pure 100% juice also..
my daughter was complete opposite.. she would drink only about 2 oz of anything for 6 months.. I was worried she wouldnt eat any solid foods.. she hated baby cereal.. i had to give her real mashed blended potatoes etc.
she didnt like much fruits either.. she loved vegetables. where my son liked his baby fruits..
Each child is different,, just go with what works best for you..

Hahaha, yeah I agree! I formula fed my daughter and she's totally healthy and smart! I'm thinking of breast feeding with my next but I don't want to hear how formula feeding lowers your baby's IQ! give me a break! My daughters way above average!

I hate it when people tell parents not to pick up there babies as soon as they cry. They are crying cause they need something. Are we supposed to let the babies just lie there and cry>does that teach them that they wont get what they need? I dont see the point in it. I picked up my babies when they cried! None of them are mass murderers or robbers or whatever!

I AM totally with you on this. MY MOM IN LAW drives me crazy with her unwanted advice. She just wont quit and thinks she knows everything. She tells me that I have spoiled my 8 week old by carrying him around....I do this due to acid reflux but according to her its normal for babies to throw up so dont hold him much...please!!! People can be quite annoying when it comes to advice......

feed them what you want and they will develop tastes according to their personalities! Some kids will like veggies, some wil like meat.
