We'll never know the answer to questions like this unless we get a playoff system.

The season is not over yet. Michigan has certainly proven that they are a very good football team. However, they have played the #1 team in the land and lost, albeit a very close game. If USC beats UCLA, they more than deserve their chance to take out Ohio St. But until the end of the last game on Saturday, December 2, no one will know for sure who will be where.

I do not agree with Texas being jumped by Oklahoma. For people to say "45-35 doesn't matter", you might as well say "let's just use pick the conference champions out of a hat after 2 weeks of games". The way I see it, you have to look at the games that forced the 3-way tie and (althought it's still subjective) make a decision from there. The way I see it, TTU got blown out by Oklahoma and showed they did not have a defense to stop a high powered offense. And although they beat Texas, it happened on a missed tackle at the 3 yard line. So if you wanna say "___insert game___ doesn't matter", this is the victory that doesn't matter. It's great highlight stuff but it's not a win of substance. Oklahoma trashed TTU but lost to Texas by 2 possessions. And they were leading most of that game but couldn't seal the deal and let the Longhorns back in. In my opinion, TTU isn't in the convo for the Big 12 South bid and since the Longhorns beat OU, OU shouldn't be going. I know everyone wants a playoff but it'll still be flawed, no matter what.

There's been a lot of controversy regarding the BCS system, but to be fair to the Trojans, about 3 years ago, they were also denied a spot for the Natl Title, even tho they were ranked #2.

in the current system we have, NO NO NO!

in order for michigan to play for the national championship, they should have won their conference and be ranked either #1 or #2 in the bcs poll.

even though they had their chance, michigan DID NOT win their conference.

in addition, it would not be fair to ohio state to have to play them again. if they did and michigan won that rematch game, how could you crown the wolverines the national champion? ohio state would be screaming that they already beat michigan.

so what to do? have a third game? now that won't happen...

i dont agree with the BCS either, but i believe michigan had their chance, they blew it, usc lost to a horrible team, florida had the toughest schedule out of any of those teams and they still only have one loss, they had many close games but only one loss, personally i think if usc or michigan or ohio were in the SEC they wouldnt have the record they have now, but i also believe that if one of the one loss teams gets to play in the title game then all of them should get their shot somehow, cuz if usc beats ohio, who is the bcs to say that michigan or florida or even a team like wisconsin couldnt beat usc. they are all one loss teams so i think they all deserve a chance. the BCS just doesnt work and it never will, they need to add at least one more game after the title game, but i think december should be a month of playoffs and then no one could argue with the champs.

Michigan had their chance at Ohio St. and blew it. USC or Florida deserve a shot now! As long as we still have this stupid BCS system that's the way things need to go in order to be fair.

We should just have a 8 team playoff, still using the BCS rankings and decide the REAL champ on the field.

You don't come from behind to look good and claim to be the better team.
