"Enchantment", by Orson Scott Card, the author of "Ender's Game". I sat down with it and didn't look up until six hours later when I finished it. That's one awesome story. It's time travel / fantasy, with half the book taking place in pre-medieval Russia, and half in modern America. Best romance and time-travel story I have ever read.

Well, although a film has already been made of it, I'd love to see '1984' (by George Orwell) made into a movie a second time around. The first movie left me feeling pretty disappointed (the acting was wonderful, but there was something missing...), so I'd love to see another filmmaker's interpretation of the book, and their casting, etc.

I also just finished reading 'Daddy's Girl', by Janet Inglis. I think that would also make for a pretty interesting movie. It's based around a fifteeen-year-old girl who ends up having an affair with her mother's boyfriend. I guess I find it pretty interesting psychologically, as the girl develops this bond and love for this completely forbidden lover, and the way they interact, the way he acts towards her. Bleh, I don't know. =P

Robert Heinlein's "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress".
I'm reading the wheel of time books myself and am waiting for the final book..Although I'm thinking It's not going to take anywhere near 12 movies to put it on the big screen..

"The Cricket in Times Square"

When Chester, a musically talented country cricket from Connecticut, is accidentally transported to the 42nd Street Subway Station in New York City, he finds shelter in a newsstand and makes friends with Mario, a young boy, Tucker the Mouse and Harry the Cat. It is an action packed animal adventure for the young at heart.

I want to let the person that answered before me know that "Watership Down" is already a movie.

I'd really like to see the Artemis Fowl books made into movies (they were scheduled, but got dropped). I would also love to see a good movie of The White Mountains and the other Tripod series books (Artemis and The Tripod books are children's lit). For "RAMSFAN", I really LOVE the Odd books (currently finishing Forever Odd), but I'm not sure how well they would translate to the movies.

I would like to see The Wheel of Time made into a movie also. But what I really would like to see is actually not a book, but a poem/song/story from J.R.R. Tolkien's books. I would like to see the Lay of Leithian made into a movie. It's the tale of Beren and Luthian. Look it up in The Silmarillion or The Lays of Beleriand. Both by J.R.R. Tolkien.

A book by Laura Reese called "Panic Snap"

Its a really erotic/S&M movie with a really great mystery twist.

It sounds like a porno almost with some of the material, but if the right director did if, I think it would be tastfully done. I think a director like Darren Aronofsky would do a great job.

I love that he touches tough/taboo subjects, but his direction is very tastefully done.

i would like to see the "Odd Thomas" trilogy by Dean Koontz made into movies. I have not yet read the third installment "Brother Odd" because I haven't been able to pick it up yet, but if you havent read the first two I highly suggest you do so. Mr. Koontz I applaud you, for the character you bring to life in those books is unforgettable.
