Passive = no controlled response or active will, like a blade of grass bending in the wind. Indifference.

Assertive = Active will of holding one's own position, like horses bracing against a wind. Tolerance.

Aggressive = Active will of encroaching upon and impacting upon the position, health and survival of other things, like an invading bacteria or human army. Intolerance.
