I have three skirts picked out, but the length is an issue for all of them, and also, I have no idea which is more comfortable, sitting for 2 hours. if you have any skirts similar to these, i'd like to know how they fit, and if a zipper is ever an issue for a wide person, aka me.

[only the skirts, not the tops]

I wish you'd given more information. You describe yourself as a "wide person." What does that mean?

I wear between a 10 and 14 and if I were sitting for 2 hours I'd pick the gored skirt becasue it has a "elasticized waistband." I wouldn't wear the ball skirt because the "heavy woven satin with suede-like moleskin" would made me look thicker. I don't like the a-line skirt because of the "smooth fit over the hips" and it is made of "lightweight knit jersey and stretch velvet" and I know that to be unforgiving of even an ounce of fat. The gored skirt it is!

The number 3 I think is the best. Number 2 is too tight. It would be uncomfortable. Number 1 would be my second choice. If the zipper is on the side it is easier to get to, my opinion. Back zippers tend to come down sometimes if you are a little, as you say, wide. A longer skirt is more comfortable for sitting, especially for 2 hours. I am also, as you say, wide, so I know from experience. Hope this helps.
