I know that the day after thanksgiving is a day for sales, but is the day after christams the same way too? i dont think that i've ever really gone shopping on that day so i'm not sure

boxing day and boxing week sales are huge, everyone is trying to sell off their christmas merchandise so it doesn't have to get put away or sent back.
I buy my decorations and cards after christmas, most things go for up to 75% off or sometimes even mroe the longer you wait. I wouldn't recommend going right on the 26th as the stores can be insane, also because of returns too. I wait a week before doing returns unless someone is in a hurry for an exchange on something.

Well, if you want to keep on top of things for the holidays there are huge sales. What doesn't sell for Christmas, after Christmas they have Christmas items 1/2 off. So, a day after the holidays is a time to buy things and decorations for next year, because they sell things dirt cheap to get rid of them.
