Re: Unpaid Vacation Time

My name is Tom Beganda, I work in room service as a waiter. I respectcully request that you review my records, and provide me with my vacation time money. The reason I make this request is due to the fact that I have not taken a vacation within the past 2 years and 8 months. It is my understading that unused vacation time is made payable to us at our request.

I am hopeful that you will look into this matter right away and compensate me accordingly.

Should you have any questions feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience.

Cordially,

Tom Beganda

The letter is good, but unless it was in your hiring contract that they give you money in place of vacation days, you won't be getting any money. However, you can insist that you get your vacation days for the past two years, and take them!

It's ok...but it might help if you put the dates of the vacation and that you never received your vacation pay on your check...send a copy to your supervisor and or department manager as well as one to accounting..
