Yes. The BCS payouts are $15,000,000 this year! That's $150,000,000 total paid to the 10 teams playing in the 5 BCS bowls, plus what the other teams in the lesser bowls get, so I'd say YES! I still think the BCS sucks, but the money doesn't lie.

Obviously those that make the decisions think so. Money is their bottom line and they wouldn't be doing it without a playoff unless they believe it is the best way to make the most money. I personally disagree because I totally believe the fans would attend the bowl games if they were a part of the playoff.

The only people that make more money form the BCS are the Commissioners of the bowls themselves, hoverer it doesn't make sense for the commissioners to not want a playoff. If there were more games played at the major facilities they would earn at least twice what they are now. Sometimes common sense is the only logical thing in sight.
