I like scary movies that would be more likely to happen in real life, such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Amityville Horror(which was a true story about George and Kathleen Lutz)and the Exorcist(even though a fictional novel the same thing happened to a little boy instead of a girl.) My fave would have to be none other than "The Shining" with Jack Nicholson.

DEAD ALIVE. It was Peter Jacksons first movie made in 1992 (he made the Lord of the Rings movies). Great visual gore! I have the whole collection of Nightmare on Elm Street movies. Robert Englund is an amazing and talented actor. Psyco and American Psyco were pretty good. Either way I would have to say DEAD ALIVE by a long shot. I'm surprised I can't find the movie anywhere except for this vintage video rental store I go to. It's great, look for it... I assure you, you won't be disappointed.

Wolf Creek.

Although I couldn't relly say I LIKE the movie, it was actually one of the better horror movies I've seen. It was sort of gory, but it was more just very, very disturbing, which I do believe is much more effective in horror films. I guess the fact it's based on actual events makes it even more unsettling.

So, yeah. Wolf Creek gets my vote, just because unlike most other "horror" films, I did actually feel pretty uneasy afterwards.

My favourite horror movie is Halloween.

Michael Myers is one of those villians that just keeps coming after you relentlessly, even after you think he's been stopped, he gets you from behind.
