Technically, it isn't unless it is in the public domain which means that most pop songs aren't. Copyright requirements vary from country to country. Works prior to 1923 are in the public domain in the US while the UK has 50 years as the cutoff date.
Copyright violations are a breach of the Yahoo! Answers Community guidelines see Section 14 although I've never seen anyone pulled up for it.
It is probably best to post sections which are permissible under fair use. If you're confused, there are lawyers who have become rich over copyright law.
