Like every other state in the Union. They get two and only two.
Please refer to the United States Constitution for additional information. As for the number in the House of Representatives. That number is determined by the number of residents in the state.

California doesn't send any "representatives" to the Senate. Representatives serve in the House of Representatives, to which CA sends 53. Like every other state in the US, California has two Senators. (Senator Dianne Feinstein, and Senator Barbara Boxer). It is also important to note that not all of them are chosen each year. A senator serves for six years while a representative's term is for two years.

Every state sends two Senators to the Senate. If you meant House of Representatives... California has 53 districts and each district chooses one representative.

One thing you might find interesting is Senators have only been elected since 1913 with the ratification of the 17th amendment to the Constitution. Before that, provided for in said Constitution, they were selected by the state legislature.

Every state had the maximum of 2 senators.
On the House of Rep. though it differs depending on the state's population size. I think that California has a total of 50-51 members of Congress.

Talk about comparing apples to oranges. There are Representatives and there are Senators. They are not the same thing.
California has 2 U.S. Senators and 53 U.S. Representatives.

2. And 53 Congressional Representatives to the House. That's about 40 to many if you ask me. But....What do I know? It's what's proscibed by law.
