I took a pregnancy test from ept and it came out as a light positive (not evaporation line) i waited and took a first response and had a negative. First response is supposedly more sensitive. What's going on with me? My period is a week late.

You may be pregnant, but you could have ovulated later than you should have according to a 28 day cycle. If you got even a faint positive then you are likely pregnant. The horomone levels in your body can go up and down, which is why they say to use your first morning urine. Maybe the levels were stronger when you took the ept. Good luck, and best wishes if you are positive:)

Hello I just wanted to let you know that some pregnancy tests will pick up the HCG hormone quicker than others. If you got a light pink chanches are that you are because it did show up in your urine. When I got pregnant I bought an EPT test and it came out neg.but then I bought a dollar store pregnancy test and it showed me as pregnant. So my answer to you is yes you are again because it picked up the HGC hormone. It may have been light in color but it was still detected> GOOD luck and verify with a blood test.

I took a first response when I found out I was pregnant with my son and I took it a day before I actually missed my period. Be sure to test in the morning if you use another Home test or go to the dr or local health dept. for a blood test. Good Luck.

You are probably pregnant! If one picked it up, then it detected that hormone. I would wait maybe a day or so and then take another test. Even though they say anytime of day, early morning is the best time to check (after you have held your urine for several hours and levels have time to build up).

I took a cheap store brand test that had a faint positive, took a more expensive name-brand test and got the same result.

Call you doctor and make an appt after another week. (most doctor's offices and clinics don't use the name-brand tests!)

Check with your gyno. It'll save you money. 15 minutes could save you 15% or more on pregnancy tests.

My first response said DUH (it was really positive about a week before my period) it depends on your level of hormones though
