I heard that Jesse Jackson wants to make using the "n" word hate language. I agree that word is terrible, but I don't like the thought of people going to jail just for saying something. We get enough censorship here on Y/A.

Jesse Jackson is a con man. He has no power. and it's stupid that people actually think he is a "black leader". hogwash. I don't listen to him or Al Sharpton. Although that word is very bad, I don't see people stopping its use anytime soon :(

It's nice to see so many enlightened young folks today. However, the n-word is always going to be the n-word. Whites are well aware of its implications, its meaning, and more importantly, how it makes blacks feel and respond. Granted, blacks have reclaimed the word, through our songs, media and other expression, as a way to take some of the psychological sting out of it, but it all amounts to the same thing. The n-word is always going to be the n-word. Either we all agree to stop using it, or redefine it. By no means should one group continue to use it under the guise of empowerment, while another group, if it uses the word, is locked away for inciting hate. The n-word will mean nothing but pain and anger to all involved, solely because no one wants to give it a decent retirement with honors for almost single-handedly, however adversely, and like no other word before it, creating real racial change and forward progress in the cultures its affected.

OMG! I wish he would just sit down and find another hobby. If one word is made punishable by law then the rest should be, how could he not see that coming?!!!!!!
