I am two months late, and have had a history of being about a month late due to ovarian cysts. I have taken to pregnancy tests and they both said no. Does anyone think I am actually pregnant?

People may say that ovarian cysts can alter the tests, but they can't. They do not change the hormone levels in your body...just cause pain. I know because I have multiple cysts of various sizes, some even large enough to cause concern to doctors. I have had 3 children and 4 pregnancies. If the test says no, you probably are not pregnant. Cysts do cause weird menstrual cycles and you can skip a few...also known from experience. Take a different brand test incase those are defective, but I don't think you are pregnant....oh, and even through all of my cysts, all of my pregnancy tests were accurate.

Yes-they can make you have a false negative. There is no such thing as a false positive result, but there are MANY factors that can make a urine pregnancy test not be able to read the HCG levels, and give a negative result even though the woman is pregnant. My sister in law never had a positive urine test throughout her entire pregnancy with my niece. Go have a blood test done. They are basically infallible.

You could always have a blood test done at your doctors office. I would think a test would say positive by now. I knew someone that had cysts on her ovaries and her tests said positive when she was pregnant.

i don't think so. We all (women) get them. SO i don't see how it could alter the test.
