I happened to be at the mall today, peacefully eating my Mickey D's... when Low and behold an African American woman started ranting and raving and making several racial slurs regarding Latinos/Latinas and other ethnic groups. She didn’t care that many of the people around her were in fact Latinos... She was acting in an ignorant manner. I've noticed that many African Americans believe they have the "right" to belittle other ethnic groups... and just be downright disrespectful. Has anyone else encountered this type of ignorant behavior?

Only in USA, i am not a racist but i do believe that african american people have no respect for othjer cultures and are extremely racist. This is accepted world wide because if any other culture spoke out against a person who is dark they would be branded as racist. It is the countrys fault for being afraid of cultures for giving too much tollerance to intollerance in fear of losing votes or being faced by a civil suit... rediculous.
It is ok to call other cultures names and have hatred towards them but not ok to use a word ni**er ( even yahoo blocked out the word ni*g*ger... here look ...******? Eh.. when will the world just wake the fu*k up.
There are too many one sided policies.

I've noticed this with my black peeps that come from bad areas or lacking high school education. They feel threatened by the Mexicans in particular, so they react instead of responding. It's all out of fear and ignorance.
I've actually seen well-to-do, educated Caucasians do the same thing towards Mexicans. They imitate their bad English and threaten to call La Migra. What's worse, they seem to not know how to distinguish between Mexicans, Puerto Ricans and Cubans. Every Latino is a Mexican and is illegal to them. Now how in the hell can you mix up Mexicans with Puerto Ricans? They look nothing alike. They don't even speak the same Spanish!

I personally force myself on a daily basis to take each individual for who they are regardless of exterior. People that treat me badly, regardless of color, are just a**holes or c*cks*ckers. I leave it at that.

BTW, Does it bother you that everyday on Yahoo Answers some weirdos think it's funny to ask belittling or blatantly intolerant questions about black people?

Yes, and I was told that they have a right to be bitter (by an African American), but I have to say that all ethnic groups have some sort of tension against each other. Where I live, Latinos and Mexicans are stereotyped into non driving, thieving, illegal aliens. Honestly, here the blacks don't catch near as much hell as the Hispanics??? I guess it just varies from place to place. I myself....keep to myself.

They feel they have the "right" to do so because of the Slavery Era. As you nailed it on the head, it's very ignorant for anybody to assume that. Rest assured, she will die a very slow and painful death from some heart problem.

I just remembered a phrase someone told me a long time ago: It's usually the racists who play the race card.

The answer is simple. It is because we, all people, allow African Americans to do so. We just let it slide. We feel as though we have to feel guilty.
It is disgusting.
Many blacks feel as though it is their right to make white jokes with the most unreal white voice and laugh. But that's not racist.
Yet, it's racist when I looked at a black kid at a theater for yelling and ruining a movie.
Hopefully, we really can treat all people equal and when anyone says anything racist it will be taken as that.

Yes, it is in the genes and upbringings.

Some with better upbringings can overcome this though.

No they are not......there are many people that have almost been wiped out, Tibetans to name 1. Blacks are nowhere near being wiped out. And in todays society they are NOT oppressed anymore...they have more chances than Whites do as far as welfare, government grants, jobs, ect.

It could be due to they are one of the most notoriously oppressed minorities WORLDWIDE. Maybe some of them feel they have a right to treat other people the way they feel treated? I'm not saying its right, but that could be a reason.

The funny thing is there is truth in what she says... because it is her experience.

We are all very similar we think and say things of others that may or may not be true.

I suspect the more trash you talk, true or not... the trashier your life will become.
