What is ur present job? The future is how you are taking advantage of ur present situation. Be positive and absorb good things around you to become a good leader. Dont involve in loose talks, keep ur existence as a mature person, dont hesitate to learn even from your subordinates. Be very clear what you are doing and what you want to say. Acquire as much knowledge as you can in your field. Respect others. Develop your body language and personality. Be open for what others say. Be particular about the requirements of the management. Do your job religiously so as to attain required results.

u didn't tell me ur job,however i w'd give u about my opinions.

1) if this is ur first job, just do it whole heartedly or sincerely n respect ur job,ur boss will surely appreciate of u.
2) since u r very hard working, u r the first one to get better promotion n of course better salary.
3) after u got ur promotion, don't ever change ur attitude to ur work, but maintain ur previous attitude, work hard n not work smart.

ultimately,u w'd get what u want in ur future: a good salary with a sound job n good respect from friends.

best wishes.
