I am now preg with my 3rd as well (13 weeks) and omg i know exactly what ur talking about. I still have cramps feeling like im going to start my period. and the back achs are un real. Im thinking it has to be cause our ligiments have been streched so much. and i was told the cramping is from the uterus growing. I honestly dont remeber this with the other 2 i had, and i just had one 14 mos ago! So yes I have this too and its normal, as long as ur not bleeding or cramping where u cant function at all. Good luck with ur pregnancy and GOD BLESS

I am in my third trimester with my second and have had those symptoms, at first it scared me but my doctor says it is normal!! I still get the cramping feelings off and on, she says that is from my muscles and ligaments stretching. I have a backache all the time, also normal. We carry our babies differently every time. With my first I carried far in front and up high, with this one I am carrying low and in the back. My mom and many others say it is because it is a boy, I'm not sure though, I still don't know what the sex is of this little one. For the back pains I use a small pillow behind me when sitting, it takes a couple tries to find the right place but it helps, and a pillow between my knees when lying on my side. Congratulations and Good Luck...hopefully your back pain goes away.

What feels like menstrual cramps could easily be the relaxing and contracting of muscles not quite ready to give way to your growing belly. With my second, I already showed a bit by the 5th week, and the muscles were complaining all the time. They gave up and let the belly have way by the end of the third month, so I looked not pregnant at all from the back, but HUGE from the front.

I have never had this problem during my 2 pregnancies, but I have heard that sometimes your body can experience period-like symptoms around the time of your first missed period. That may be all that it is, but if it is bothering you I would get it checked due to the fact that cramping can sometimes be the sign of a missed miscarriage. Good luck and congrats!

Yes, sometimes you cramp from your uterus stretching to accomodate the growing fetus. I had a lower backache during both of my pregnancies the entire time. It could be from the increased weight of your uterus, the abdominal muscles may not be able to carry it all themselves so you use your back muscles to help.

I had really bad cramps and low back pain that went into my thighs. This lasted until I was about 3 months. Then it went away for awhile and returned the day I started labor, but was really really bad pain! lol.. I even spotted around my 5th or 6th week. But everything went good. Congrats! and Goodluck!

You should contact your doctor. I had cramps in my lower back with my miscarriage-yours could be nothing to worry about, but please just go have everything checked out to be on the safe side.
