My aunt almost did.
It was around Christmas 2003. She won 5 out of 6 digits. She would have gotten the jackpot, but the number she missed was '5', and the other digit she had was '6'. Aaargh!!!
She just won approximately US$500, but the jackpot was 10x that amount!
It would have been a life-changing moment. But after the winning, nothing in our lives had changed, so I wouldn't have known if it's a good or bad thing.
But she still continues to bet every week. :D

When I was about 8 or 9 my friend's father won about $5 million in the CA lottery... it ended up pretty bad for them, the parents got divorced, both of them got into drugs really bad, and today they have nothing to show for it.

I knew someone that won $100K on an instant lottery, he paid off all of his bills and then, instead of investing the rest, he decided that he was a great gambler, and that if he won that much, he could win more. When he died a few years later, it was all gone, the house had been remortgaged, and his widow couldn't pay all the bills. It was very sad.

Had 4 out of 5 right in Ohio lottery once and so did so many others we all got like 125.00 a piece. So guess my answer would be yes, but slightly smaller than you were looking to hear about I would imagine. LOL

An old college buddy won over one mil a few years ago. Honestly, I haven't seen or heard from him since! Hopefully, he's layin on a beach somewhere havin a Corona!

Yes. My aunt won a few mil. After her and her family spent it all, they spend their days now working in a restaurant. Weird thing is; I haven't seen them much since they've lost all their money. Hmm..

My sisters step daughter won some money back in 2004. It was something like 10,000 dollars. She put it all up her nose though.
