If she's shy then I'd say it was the right way to go. Coming on too strong may clash with her personality. Not doing anything, though, that would've been a mistake too. I think the peck was a perfect compromise... and now you can move on from there!

Her body language will be pretty clear if she was receptive to the kiss or not. If she puts physical distance between you two, let it rest and don't bring it up. If she stands close, brushes up against you and finds reason to linger, she probably wants to kiss you again. Find a reason (standing in a doorway) where you can slow down, NO RUSHING, hold her chin in your hand and look her in the eyes. If she pulls away, stop. If she gets misty and her lips part slightly, go for it!

yes..i think all first kisses with a new person should start off very small...my first kiss ever was a french kiss..and i am pretty shy i guess and i wish i was started off with a smaller peck or something to mentally prepare...and be like.. he kissed me once he is probably going to do it agian what do i think will happen next time..and then from there it will probably mean more if you both had time to think about it and "prepare if you will"

sure you did now see where it goes next time you go to kiss her if she turns away then she probably was uncomfotable but if she doesn't and kisses back then ...well go for it but be gentle next time kiss just a little longer after a few little kisses just tell her you love her lips and give her a nice sensual kiss

i would say you did the right thing...not coming on to strong but letting it be known you wanted to kiss her...now when you kiss again you could move in for a little more...little longer kiss then work up to something more or whatever...

I think you made the right decision. Later on, you can move on to more heavier kissing.

Remember my friend, anything in life when you just bend down and find it right away then it is not precious.
Confucius once said: When you ask a girl something if she says "no", she means perhaps, if she says "perhaps", she means yes, if she says "yes", she is not a lady.

I dont know how you feel about talking about feelings, but i would say to sit down and talk it with her. who knows maybe you will find that she wanted to kiss you and was just to shy. Hope this helps.
