For the holidays I like to give knitted slippers to loved ones. It was my Grandmother's holiday tradition and it's become mine to. But this year I want to give something else with the slippers(like a new spin on a old tradition). Now I still want to do something homemade, any ideas?

A homemade gift basket with the slippers in it. But include things that go with slippers... make it like a comfort basket. Include a packet of hot chocolate, a cheap dollar store mug, maybe a candle and a small book. Baskets when decorated right can look great.
For the women you can make it a "foot" basket... throw in nail polish, foot lotion, basically make it like a spa set.

You should get into beading. It's not hard to get into. I personally like the small "seed beads" using a loom. Check your local craft store or ebay. You can make beautiful, better than store-bought, homemade jewelry if you put the time into it.
