First get rid of any fruit that is sitting out. They may also be flies that hatched from inside unused faucet drains, so run water in any faucets that you don't use very often. As far as getting rid of them, set out a large dish of water with a smaller container in the middle with a mixture of soap and water. They are supposedly attracted to the water and then drown in the soapy water mix. I've also heard of adding dark vinegar (like balsamic) to the outside water to attract them. The soap and water thing worked for me personally, but I am not sure how well the vinegar works so maybe try both? Good luck!

Whenever I have a fruit fly infestation, I buy those sticky fly paper things. I take a piece of dog food and stick it to the paper, and sure enough, the flies are attracted to it. Fly paper works incredibly well. Don't forget to throw it away once it's full of flies.

They will also hatch out in moist soil, so if you have any inside plants you may want to water them with a solution of insecticidal soap and water.
