Darker color is dominant and lighter color is recessive as far as genetics are concerned. More commonly, children turns out halfway between parents color. In that sense, it is somewhat unusual that your children are completely white.

But... I'm surprised that people near you are acting as this is such a surprising thing to happen. It happens often enough.... One thing is for sure... if you are a mixed couple, the only thing you can do is get used to unusual and sometimes insulting comments from people. Everybody has their own problems and prejudices. If you start getting upset over every comment, you'll be a wreck....

I notice unusual facial expression (confused?) on people every now and then myself....

Where do you live? A lot of preconceptions about race have to do with region. If you live in a less diverse/mostly homogenous area, people are going to be naturally curious and somewhat ignorant about the appearance of your family than those who see such things on a regular basis. Instead of getting defensive in such a situation, take a deep breath and use the opportunity to educate these people. You may be the only one to do so.

Because they are uneducated and insensitive. Ignore those people. I have 2 light and 1 dark. It's all in the mix of the genes and God is the one who chooses that.

Maybe when someone has the gall to ask you about it you could reply, "I don't know. If it concerns you so much I suppose you could ask God why He made them that way. I'm sure He can give you a better answer than I could."

God bless you & your family!

Don't worry about what others see or do not see. Enjoy your children as the innocents that they are.
