If you`re talking traditional looks, I`d have to lean towards NO. Sounds like you`re going to have to do some demolition to get this job done. If you`re looking for a better view out the opening put in a bigger window. Maybe a bay or bow. Or better yet a garden window.

Why not just put in a large picture window with muntin bars (grills) ??
