It's a lack of education on the procedure. It's also because there is no fact that says life begins at conception. This makes people question their own hearts. Most people these days need facts to tell them what to do instead of trusting their own heart.
I'm pro-choice. If a person is properly guided I do not understand how or why they could get an abortion either. I worked at a pregnancy crisis center--while I never guided someone not to get an abortion I made them very aware of all the positive and negative outcomes to all of their decisions.
There are no facts to when life begins but watching those videos, seeing those babies, and being a mother myself I know in my heart that life begins at conception.

I know of the video (or at least a video like it) that you are talking about, and it makes me sick.
And personally, I think that people who go in for an elective abortion (meaning they just don't feel like being pregant, not because they were raped or there is a medical condition) should have to watch it.
I am (obviously) pro-life, and people who are pro-choice will say that I need to get educated and realize that this is the 21st century and women have rights. But I can guarantee that some of them (not all) have no idea how an abortion is actually preformed.
And just because I'm pro-life doesn't mean that I think there should never be abortions or never use any birth control. I do use birth control myself, and I support the use of the morning after pill. I beleive it should be issued to every rape victim, and should be available to anyone, at anytime. And I beleive that abortions should be legal for women who have medical conditions that cause their lives to be at risk by carrying a baby.
Anyway, try not to think about the video. Go watch some tv, or read a book that has nothing to do with babies, and distract yourself. And if you are ever in a situation where you might be tempted to have unprotected sex, remember how upset you were about this video.

Yes i was wondering the same coming from someone who wasnt suppose to have children. I am only 3'4" and the doctors said it would kill me to have a child i have two and would never thought about doing this to save my life as long as my kids were fine. I even got raped and the thought never crossed my mind that is still a child no matter what it isnt their faults. Many teenagers go out have a good time and get pregnant and the way they take care of it is have an abortion. My sister has had so many and it hurt me to see the way she put it off lke oh well its nothing. It was my neice or nephew i never got to meet. Talking about this subject really hits me hard because see i have alot of medical problems and i would never know what it is like if my mother would have done that for the fact of the way i was born. Thank you for your time

Well I agree with the 2nd person about people being informed...I believe we need more awareness. Especially from Dr.s I think it is odd and just plain wrong that every DR. legally has to give pros and cons to ALL procedures before performing it; sharing what could go wrong, the negative side effects, dangers, but not w/ abortion.
As far as it being a "choice" how did murder become a choice? Yes it was a choice before they chose to have sex! There is a way to prevent pregnancy and it is 100% effective....why do we play with fire and then use unethical methods to dispose of our mistakes? If you are mature enough to have sex you should take responsibility and birth the child, whether that means raising it or adoption!

Abortion is tough to talk about, just tonight I saw a car sticker stating keep your rosaries out of my ovaries smart huh?
I am a mother, became one after 5 months of marriage at 22, I had two nieces and I couldn't stand to look after them for more than 20 minutes - When I had my son: I SWEAR I for the first time in my life felt like a real woman!
I am a happy mother of a 12 year old boy and could not conceive my life without him.

I will not state my side in this topic. I DO want to warn you of the sponsors of the site or the whole subliminal message that was behind it. The truth is that abortion is legal (for now), and depending on who created the site it may be altered from the real experience. All I am saying is that there are some (many) sites out there creating things to alter ones view.

For some people, it' a need more than anything.
For instance, if a girl was raped.. Is it fair for her to have to have and raise the child? (yes there is always adoption, but 9 months is a long time to be reminded constantly).
Then there are the irresponsible people out there who don't use precautions. They use abortion as a means of contraception. The reality of this is, while yes, it is wrong.. would it not do more damage for that child to be raised in an unloving, immature household?

I think that most people who actually watch the video already know they are not going to have an abortion. And the people who have already decided to have one anyway dont reall y pay attention! I might be completely wrong but for myself thats the only way I can imagine!

Abortion is the murder of the innocent, part of Adolph Hitlers Final Solution.
I can not fathom how someone can deny a child a chance, a chance to become someone, to chase a ball, watch a butter fly, taste a apple or hear the words, "I love you".

I have never had an abortion but I do not judge people who have. Try to give your attention to positive things in life. Enjoy your life and pick your battles. Did viewing this video enhance your life? Has it changed your opinion of abortion? Has it changed another person's opinion of abortion? We really do "spend" our time in life. Make sure what you spend your time on was worth the price.
